The Department of Business Management (BBM)& MTroops Celebrated World Creativity and Innovation Day on 21 April 2021
World Creativity and Innovation Day 2021 celebrates the creative economy that consists of audiovisual products, design, new media, performing arts, publishing and visual arts. The creativity and innovation sector is a highly transformative sector of the world economy in terms of income generation, job creation and export earnings.
Cultural and creative industries should be part of economic growth strategies, according to the UNESCO report on culture and sustainable development. These industries are among the most dynamic sectors in the world economy.
This sector has the potential to provide new momentum for economic growth and job creation. It can expand opportunities for everyone, including women and youth. It can also provide solutions to some of the most concerning issues such as poverty, hunger.
On that account, the students organised fun activities to celebrate Creativity and Innovation in them.
The first years conducted two fun activities. Everyone was asked to switch on their cameras and were asked to show common articles from their homes. Whoever showed the articles first would win the game. The game was so competitive that everyone were on the edge of their chairs to win.
There was another game called “What’s your colour?” A colour was given to everyone and whatever items struck our mind, they had to write them down, their lists went on and on and it was exciting to see what everyone came up with.
The second years planned two activities namely “10 in 10” and “Guess the brand”.
In “10 in 10”, 10 questions were asked with 10 seconds of time for each question. The one who answers most questions wins the game.
General questions pertaining to Business Management were asked.
The next game, “Guess the brand”, is a game in which the tagline of a brand is given and participants have to guess the brand.
The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all the students. The innovation and creativity plays a vital role in students life. It helps with problem-solving, contributes to satisfaction in life, and gives a sense of purpose. Being creative helps to relax and brings enjoyment to life.
