The Department of Business Management and MTroops Club has organised a quiz on Rural
Marketing.
The emergence of rural markets as highly untapped potential emphasises the need to
explore them. Marketers over the past few decades, with innovative approaches, have
attempted to understand and tap rural markets. Some of their efforts paid off and many
markets still an enigma. Rural marketing is an evolving concept, and as a part of any
economy, has untapped potential; marketers have realised the opportunity recently.
Improvement in infrastructure and reach, promise a bright future for those intending to go
rural. Rural consumers are keen on branded goods nowadays, so the market size for
products and services seems to have burgeoned.
A quiz was conducted on the concepts involving Rural Marketing by the second years. There
was also a dictionary game conducted by the second years which involves guessing the word
based on its definition or meaning. The common terms, rules, procedures and theories were
asked as a part of the quiz and dictionary game.
The students were competitive in
answering the questions making the session informatory and joyous.
