International Peace Day 2021

The department of Business management has organized activities on the occasion of "World Peace Day" on 22nd September,2021. Objective: International Peace Day celebrations Participated and targeted groups: BBM second years and BBM final years The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations General assembly. Every year on 21st September, International Day of Peace is observed and celebrated across the world. Also known as the World Peace Day, the occasion aims to strengthen Peace across nations by observing 24-hours of non-violence and ceasefire.This Day is celebrated every year to promote peace in the world and it promotes global solidarity for building a peaceful and sustainable world. On account of World Peace Day, students of BBM final years have conducted some fun activities and games. The session started with a talk on the importance of the day and also the importance of 'Symbol of Peace'. So on account of this, one of the students has conducted a Quiz competition to test the participants' knowledge about this day. Famous quotes on Peace were presented in the form of picture collage and the students were asked to guess the quotes.One of the students has conducted riddles which were very interesting. Students have presented some moral stories in the form of posters with an aim to tell them about the value and importance of peace. One of the students has conducted an activity on the question "What does PEACE mean to you?" Students were asked to write their opinion on a piece of paper. Best one was awarded with a small prize. All the students have actively participated. Memory is the record of past moments. So, as a memory of BBM final years, the students have conducted a fun and interesting activity i.e.Fingerprint activity, in which all the students and faculty of BBM department have put their Fingerprints with various colours in the shape of Symbol of peace - " DOVE".That was the last activity. Outcome: The students were able to know the importance of this day. They learnt how to maintain peace in the world through all the activities conducted.They also gained some knowledge about different themes for every year for Peace Day celebrations given by the UN, by participating in Quiz. They were also inspired by the different quotes. Overall, the session was fun, interesting and informative.
